Call for 2011 SSDM Award Nomination Closed
The SSDM Award has been established to recognize outstanding contributions in the field of solid state devices and materials. One outstanding paper presented anytime between the 1st SSD conference in 1969 and the 37th SSDM conference in 2005 will be chosen as the winner of the 2011 SSDM Award.
The SSDM Award will be presented by the SSDM Organizing Committee on the recommendation of the SSDM Award Nomination Committee. Papers nominated for the SSDM Award will be reviewed by the SSDM Award Nomination Committee in accordance with the following criteria.
Originality
To be considered for the award, the nominated paper must contain original contents that were first presented at an SSD/SSDM conference and be recognized as having made an outstanding theoretical or practical contribution to the field.
Papers that include original contents and are recognized as having made an outstanding contribution but were not first presented at an SSD/SSDM conference may also be considered for nomination by special invitation.
Contribution
At least one of the authors of a nominated paper should be recognized as an outstanding pioneer in the area of research to which the nominated paper relates.
The deadline for nomination for the 2011 SSDM Award is February 28, 2011
Guidelines for the Nominator
To nominate a candidate for the SSDM Award, please follow the nomination procedure outlined below.
The nominated paper or papers must have been presented at an SSD/SSDM conference at some time between the 1st SSD conference in 1969 and the 37th SSDM conference in 2005. Please complete the nomination form provided, including all required information.
Please send the completed nomination form to the SSDM Secretariat by the deadline.
