  • (1) Registration Fee for the Conference includes followings:

  • (2) Short Course has two courses. You need to choose one of them when you register.
    Registration Fee for the Short Course includes followings:

    • * A textbook (printed copy) of one of the courses you choose. (You can purchase a textbook of the other course if you want.)
    • ** Admission to the Plenary Session on Sep. 3.
  • (3) Payment of the Conference registration fee entitles the registrant to enter Satellite Workshop ~Current Status and Future of Plasma Process~ on Sep. 3.
    Only those who do not register the Conference are charged Registration Fee for the Satellite Workshop.
    Registration Fee for Satellite Workshop (Without Conference registration) includes followings:

  • (4) Students are required to submit a copy of valid student ID upon registration, and to present the ID at the registration desk on-site. For details, see registration site.

Change & Cancellation Policy

Your registration cannot be changed online after the deadline of early bird registration 17:00 August 2 (Fri.) Japan Time. After that, any changes or cancellation must be made in writing to SSDM Registration Desk (ssdm2019-regist@or.knt.co.jp).
The date and time of the change and cancellation will be based on the working hours (Monday through Friday 9:30-17:30 [Japan time] except national holidays (Jul. 15, Aug. 12, Sep 16 and Sep 23).
After working hours, cancellation will be made next day, which may incur charges.

  • * Registration / Advanced Plasma Session / Banquet
    • Before August 1 --- No charge
    • On or after August 2 --- 100% of the registration fee/NO REFUND
  • * Hotel Accommodation Fee
    • Until 21 days before the night of stay --- No charge
    • 20 to 8 days before the night of stay --- 20% of accommodation charge
    • 7 to 2 days before the night of stay --- 30% of accommodation charge
    • 1 day before the night of stay --- 40% of accommodation charge
    • On the reserved day (before hotel's check-in time) --- 50% of accommodation charge
    • On the reserved day (after hotel's check-in time) --- 100% of accommodation charge
    • No show without notice --- 100% of accommodation charge

Refund

Refunds will be made before the conference upon with deducting bank transfer fee, and/or credit card service charges and the cancellation penalties.
If payment was made by credit card, refund will be made to the same credit card.
If the payment was made by bank transfer, please inform us your bank account.

Notice:

  • Refund of your payment will not be conducted automatically.
    If refund occurs due to the change or cancellation of your registration, please contact SSDM Registration Desk (ssdm2019-regist@or.knt.co.jp) with your name and registration ID.
  • Due to the system setting, only full-amount refund is available. If any partial refund should be made for change and/or cancellation, the registration desk will firstly make a full-amount of refund to the registered credit card and charge the amount after deducting change or cancellation penalty.

Registration Desk on site

The registration desk will be open from September 2 to 5.
All participants, who have registered through the conference website are requested to stop by the desk to pick up your name holder and conference kit.

Visa

If you need to get a visa to enter Japan, the registration desk of SSDM 2019 will issue the following documents.

  • Letter of guarantee
  • Letter of reason for invitation
  • Schedule of stay
  • Invitation Letter
  • Certificate of enrollment of Inviting Person

Due to the complex nature of visa requirements, you may be required to submit additional documents if needed. We also advise you to contact the Consular Section of the Embassy or Consulate General of Japan nearest you for more information and advice. Embassy or Consulate General of Japan.

If applicants would like to ask us for assistance in obtaining visa, applicants must meet the following all requirements.

  • 1. You have submitted an abstract.
  • 2. Your paper has been accepted.
  • 3. You have completed online registration.
  • 4. Your registration fee has been paid.
  • 5. If you wish to bring any accompanying persons and request the visa support for him/her with yours, he/she must be your legal spouse or children.

Applying for visa supporting documents can be made online application. Information of the online application will be announced on an automatic e-mail that you will receive after you complete your payment of your registration.

Since the acceptance of the paper will be finalized at the end of June, the online application for the visa support documents will be open after that.
