JJAP Special Issues

Dear SSDM 2016 Authors:

Authors of accepted papers are encouraged to submit their original papers on the significant part of their work presented at SSDM 2016 to the Special Issues of Japanese Journal of Applied Physics (JJAP). JJAP is now published by IOP Publishing on behalf of The Japan Society of Applied Physics. Note that a special rate of publication charge (15,000JPY/article) is applied for SSDM 2016 special issue.

From February 2017, on-line publication will start. The paper-based publication is scheduled in the end of April 2017. Those who wish to submit a paper to the Special Issue should read through the information below and follow the instructions for preparing manuscripts.

The deadline for submission to the Special Issue is Oct. 12, 2016.

Please be aware that there will be no extension of the deadline this year.
In previous years the deadline was set during the conference period, but this year, the deadline has been set almost two weeks after the conference. Accordingly, we will observe the deadline strictly.

IMFORMATION FOR CONTRIBUTORS

  • (1)The paper submitted to the Special Issue should not have the text identical with one appeared in the SSDM2016 Extended Abstracts. The content of the paper should be original. It should be noted that you are not eligible for submission to the JJAP without presentation at the conference.
  • (2)The submitted paper will be reviewed based on the JJAP standard for an original paper. All papers submitted are not necessarily accepted in the final review.
  • (3)Note that such manuscript will not be included in the Special Issue that is not accepted for publication by the deadline of the review process, as a consequence of revisions requested by referees.
  • (4)From February 2017, on-line publication will start. The paper-based publication is scheduled in the end of April 2017.
  • (5)JJAP special issues are accepting regular papers, progress reviews, and brief notes. The authors of invited papers are also welcome to submit any original part of their presentations as a regular paper, or to submit a progress review. Above items from (1) to (4) are also applied for these cases.
  • (6)The authors (or their institution) are requested to pay a special rate of publication charge (15,000 JPY/article, no limitation of number of pages). The invoice will be sent to authors by e-mail within two or three days after the online publication.
  • (7)Authors should read the contents of the following URLs carefully before submitting papers: All papers should be submitted on-line through the above web site. Authors are requested to register as a user for the system to start the on-line submission.
  • (8)The manuscript submitted for SSDM2016 special issue is strongly expected to have no less than 30 references. From the investigation of the JJAP publication office, JJAP regular papers used to refer less number of papers in average, than those in typical journals in the same field, such as J. Appl. Phys (28 refs.) do. It is encouraged to refer your own previous papers and sufficient numbers of related papers, to clarify the originality of your paper.
